Sumita Paul is the Founder and Principal Financial Planner at Athena Wealth, an independent, fee-based financial planning practice she established in 2021. With more than 25 years’ experience in financial services, Sumita began her career with AMP before spending two decades at Guardian Trust (Perpetual Guardian), where she specialised in trusts, estate planning and investment portfolio management for individuals, multi-generational families and philanthropic organisations.

She later helped establish Openly Investing (now Perpetual Guardian Investments) before launching Athena Wealth to deliver personalised, values-led advice. Sumita also volunteers her expertise with the Grief Centre, supporting financial resilience through times of loss.
