Aroha Armstrong is the Chief Executive of TupuToa, a charitable trust creating corporate internships and accelerating leadership pathways for Māori and Pacific graduates.

With over a decade of executive leadership experience, she has worked across the Māori economy and business innovation ecosystems. Previously, she led equity and inclusion strategy at New Zealand’s largest tertiary education provider, embedding Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and advancing equitable outcomes.
Aroha has driven transformation, strengthened data sovereignty, and built cross-functional partnerships to deliver impact. Known for her ability to activate change and lead through uncertainty, she is passionate about shaping pathways for Māori leaders.
